 Lebanon Day 2009 will undoubtedly go down in history for being the wettest event ever held at Prides Corner! The weather was, in a word, abysmal but it failed to dampen the enthusiasm exhibited by the Prides Corner staff or the residents of Lebanon that showed up in huge numbers to volunteer or purchase plants in support of the Lebanon Little League and their facilities.
 Despite the wind and torrential rain deposited by the visiting Tropical Storm Danny, the hardy men, women and children of Lebanon shrugged off the elements to support this worthy cause and have some fun regardless of the deluge. Under the cover of nearby greenhouses and buildings, loads of t ownspeople ducked out of the weather to listen to the DJ spin some records, enjoy Chef Juan’s hotdogs and burgers in the comfortable dining area, laugh with Uncle Lou the clown and indulge in a temporary tattoo or two with Julie, temporary tattoo artist to the stars. Of course, the guided tours of Prides Corner and our breathtaking 7-acre Arboretum were a very popular respite from the storm but, when it counted, all visitors hunkered down for a day of shopping from the huge selection of Prides Corner plant material at their disposal.
 Thanks to those hardy Lebanon residents who braved the weather and to the incredible hard work of the stalwart boys, girls, parents and relatives of the  Lebanon Little League that volunteered to park and load vehicles who helped raise an astounding $9,000.00 for the completion of the new Tyler Field baseball complex! Further thanks for the hard work of every member of the Prides Corner family that joined with our Lebanon community to make this event such a soggy yet heartwarming success for the town.
